Any significance in the last two letters in the Denso Sat Nav player numbers?
Hi everybody,
My current sat nav unit in my X-type, 2r83 10E887 AD, is faulty and I am looking for a new one. On Ebay there are several units, but some have different last letters.
Is there any significance to the last two letters AD?
Also: Does the previous car matter? Is it safer to get a unit from another X-type than from a S-type?
Thankful for any help in this issue.

Welcome to the forum quasis101,
The Parts Catalogue lists X-Type Sat Nav modules for 3 different markets:
1. Australia
2. Japan
3. Other
Within these 3 markets there's 5 part Number changes according to VIN range.
Although it sounds extremely complicated with such a huge range of different modules available from Jaguar, I'd be surprised if any European module from the same or close Model Year wouldn't work in your vehicle.
