Default Bought a 2011 XFR, has third key fob and no idea what it does

Two weeks ago I purchased a 2011 XFR. The dealer gave me two sets for keys and this thing. I have no idea what it is or what it does. It doesn't open the car or trunk or anything through proximity. It has no buttons or anything, just a small LED window with "Low Battery" written over it. It's about 1/2 the size of the Key Fob.

Any ideas as to what this thing is?

I am not 100% sure what it is either. A picture of the back of the unknown device might be a little helpful as there may be some information there that would help me figure out what it is. But, looking at the attachment on the end of the small fob, it almost looks like an aftermarket valet system. But, I am taking a wild stab in the dark.

Can you start the vehicle if the "unknown device" is left in the house and out of range? If so, it could be an aftermarket immobiliser.

Alternatively, the vehicle could be fitted with a tracker GPS locator to find the vehicle in the event of theft and the "unknown device" confirms it is operational.

There was an FCC ID etched into the back of the FOB, so good ol' Google to the rescue... and the mystery is solved.

It's Lo-Jack early warning remote. So, I just learned something new about my car. It has Lo-Jack

LoJack - LoJack® Early Warning notification if vehicle moves without Key Pass

Alien, good to know. Some of the Jags that I was looking at today advertised that they had Lo-Jack in them. Hmmmm, might be carrying a second fob with me all the time. But, hopefully I will be getting a 2012 XF/XFR/XJ here in the very near future. We will see. They just have to find one in Ultimate Black and then get it shipped in.
