Calling all 5.0 rebuilders--any updates on main studs and bolts?

I'm teeing up to rebuild my 2011 XJ SC. I have read and re-read Dave Tibbs thread, and I have the parts he used to replace the main crank studs and bolts,, which are as follows:
- Studs: ARP-AM4-000-1LB
- M8 Main Bolts: ARP 661-1014
I have the following questions:
1. This info is several years old, are there any new/better parts than what is referenced above? If so, please specify.
2. In his thread, Mr. Tibbs, mentioned something about having to machine the windage tray to make the main bolts or studs fit properly. Is that the case with the above mentioned parts? Is there a thread out there that discusses exactly what needs to be machined?
TIA
