Default Chevy conversion anybody ?

I got my jag back and the whole fuel line issue and venting has become a nightmare... tank has pressure building all the time.. car isn't even running and the fuel line to the carb is sucking air not blowing fuel..

As much as it kills me as a Ford man to tell you this, and many of the members here would likely consider this a sin. There might still be a company that sells small block Chevy conversions for jags. Check into JTR it stands for jaguars that run. Bless your soul. It must really be junk if a Chevy motor is the answer lol!

What the hell was that... isn't there a bouncer at the door to stop these kind of idiotic replies to a simple question ?

I just found this thread and don't know the whole story. What year/model are we discussing?
My first thought is someone crossed the fuel lines somehow, but I don't know the whole story yet.
Dropping a chevy engine in is much more mechanically involved than fixing just about any fuel issues though...

Should I have suggested to put a delorian motor in it? You didn't enlighten the thread with any genius or help. I may have gave some static, but I posted what I know on Chevy conversions. I guess to be a genius I need to quote people's posts and call them idiots.

What question?

To be honest I read the subject line, your first post under the subject line, and all the subsequent posts....and I can't figure out if your asking a question, wanting info on a conversion, if you're Jag is already converted... ???

Cheers
