Does anyone have the flow and other data on a couple of port injectors used on the NA and SC 4.2 engines?
One 4 port, the other 12 port. Thanks!

 

Panthera999, I am going out on a limb here and making a SWAG (Scientific Wild A$$ Guess). Looking at how Denso numbers their fuel injectors, I have a feeling the Denso 0490 fuel injector is going to flow right around 490 CC/Min of fuel. Where the Denso 0480 is going to flow around 480 CC/Min of fuel.

Now, the other tidbit of information that I found that may be of use is that a properly sized fuel injector is going to be roughly 1cc/min of fuel for each horsepower the engine is. So, a NA motor makes 290 HP and the supercharged motor makes 395. So, this would be fairly close to what the motor would need. As for 4 hole or 12 hole, that really gets down to how fine of a mist do you want. A finer mist is ideally better. But, as long as the cylinder can burn all the fuel while it is still in the combustion chamber, then all is good. This is where the O2 sensors are going to tell you yes or no to that answer.

I am not able to find much more info other than a member here saying that he thinks the XK injectors flow about 440 cc/min.
