Does anyone know what this button is?

It is now pressed in but when I press it....it pops out....It is the button to the right of the button that opens the trunk

INTERIOR LIGHTS INTENSITY
Use the rotary control to adjust the intensity of the instrument illumination. The exterior lamps must be switched on while changes are being made.
