Default Fog Lights for MK II

I have a 1960 MK II that does not have for lights and would like to add them. I called Moss Motors, however they do not seem to carry them. Any suggestions on where I might obtain the lights and whatever else might be needed. Much thanks.

These lamps can be very expensive, but here is a US site with repro ones.

http://jollyrogersmotors.com/node/213

The lamps are called Fograngers, and I think there was also a lamp called a Spotranger in the same lamp body at one time. Lucas made them originally. For a Mark 2, they fit in the hollow recesses at the front below the headlamps, and you need a backing plate to fit them correctly so the lamp can be adjusted. Where a car did not have them, (it was an optional extra), the recesses are filled with chrome-plated mazak mock grills Make sure you check the mounting plates come with the lamps. If not you will need to find some from somewhere. Old ones can be replated.

if you want an inexpensive solution, contact Rock Browning at Mr. Jaguar.com, he makes them for S type and MK-2. (he made a pair of custom driving lights for my S type to fit in the original buckets, since they are larger in the S type than in the Mk-2).

The lamps he sells install in the original bucket left and right of the grille. Forget the Fog Rangers, they were very inneficient, more decorative than anything.

They do look good, though. I don't think I ever turned mine on more than twice ! We don't seem to get the fogs we used to get in the old days here in England.

the ones sold by Mr. Jaguar / RetroAir look similar to the Fog Rangers. look at the ones he made for my S type (5" diameter each with 100 watt bulbs each). They are driving/spot lights, not fogs, and they are more powerful than the High beams.
