Fuel Injector Issues try these Guys!
If someone has a problems with fuel injectors on your Jaguar please consider sending them to these guys. They did a great job on my 28 year old injectors and could have easily sold me new ones. Great company to do business with. Hope this can help some one. Posted this on the Corvette Forum when I recently had problems with my 1985 Vette. Originally I had a hard cold start problem and traced to a failed Cold Start Injector Valve. Its was used in 1985-89 Vettes and shot extra fuel into the intake on cold starts. Read Below:
I contacted Jon Banner at Fuel Injector Connection and mailed him the cold start valve and also the 8 injectors. I thought since I was taking the top of the motor off why not send the injectors all well. It was two good decisions. I used first class mail and the turn around time was about 5 days door to door.
I received a call from Jon and he told me that after the cleaning and testing the injectors were perfect and there was no need to replace them. The injectors were cleaned and tested out "excellent" at 249.6 to 249.7 cm/min. The cold start valve was cleaned and tested out functioning. They were polished and looked great. The cost including shipping and a gasket set and some o-rings for the cold-start valve $191.00.
I just finished rebuilding the top end including valve cover gaskets, plugs, wires, cap/rotor and fuel filter. The results were outstanding. After the fuel pump primed the system, it started perfectly and the difference in performance is astounding. I really can't remember it starting so well, the throttle response this instant and the car sound that good. It drives so much better I can't believe it. It's like I put a supercharger on it or its like my C-5.
I bought the 85' Coupe in November of 1984 and over the years it has been a great car to own. When this car came out we were all driving boxy K-cars and this looked like a jet. It should be good for another 28 years. Thanks again and I would highly recommend Fuel Injector Connection.
Great job Fuel Injection Connection/ Jon Banner(770-888-1662) and the Forum.
