Getting hard of hearing at my age

Hi DornB,
All joking aside, I can remember buying a flasher can to upgrade a motor-home that had a buzzer attached,
But jaguar in all their wisdom probably had to re-invent the tried and tested old type flasher can, because they were far too inexpensive.

DornB, they don't make a louder flasher that I am aware of for what you are after. But, an easy mod to do would be to get your hands on 2 electronic buzzers. They are 12 VDC buzzers that you would wire to the output of the turn signal. One buzzer for the left turn signals, one buzzer for the right turn signals. From there, you can add a resistor in series with the buzzer to control the volume.
This is an example of what I am thinking of:
Piezo Electronic Buzzer - 50mm | 28-745 (28745) | Distributed By MCM
If you do some looking around, they come with different tones and sounds. So, you can find something that will fit what you are looking for. They also come in different volumes if you don't want to mess with adding resistors and whatnot to control the volume.

Thanks for the input so far. It is good to know I am not the only one with wacky humor.
Yes I still have my 95 VDP and still my favorite car. My '03 XK8 is a very strong second.
I note that the signal audio device is an actual 2(+-) inch speaker. I was thinking there may be an attenuator/resistor to keep it down with some 'Jaguar' action to modify the output. I can't believe that this is an uncommon problem given the average age of Jag owners. No offense to anyone still in denial (as I am) Thanks for the piezo idea.

That's a very neat solution.
But I can't resist:
separate left and right buzzers will help when we start to go blind as well as deaf.

Signal Indicator
I asked my wife, if she had a poblem hearing the turn signal ticking?
she said "jaguar... what will they think of next, I bet its an expensive extra, but its a good idea maybe other makers will make them available one day"
When I explained, she said "dont be silly dear, that thingy on the steering thingy is a purse hanger and the little green light tells you not to leave your purse in the car"
Womens logic!!
I hope that has cleared things up!!
