In all the conversion documents issued by Jaguar, they recommended ESTER based oil when replacing R12 to R134a.

Yes, I am aware of that but, I had replaced every component aside from the evaporator. I had flushed the evaporator 3 times so, I used PAG oil instead as none of the other parts had ever seen R12.

Well! The fine folks at Fen Air got me my kit much earlier than anticipated! Instead of several weeks, they sent it a couple of days after I ordered it and it arrived today. Will be installing this weekend and hopefully, I can report back good news next week!

I installed the Fen Air kit. No change. Pressures are better but still not cooling. This is the third time I have replaced EVERY component but the evaporator. So, it is coming out. Dash out job I am not looking forward to.

One question. Have you ruled out a malfunctioning control panel? Maybe it’s not sending the AC signal?

For whatever reason....this morning she is blowing cold. 58 degrees coming out of the vents. Not sure why. Pressure looks fine on low side. Slightly high on high side. Hoses on low side are ice cold.

UPDATE. It is now blowing 48 degrees out of the center vents at 2800 RPM and 65MPH on a 95 degree day. I don't know if it is possible to improve on that. That's pretty good given the temp outside.

I'd say that is absolutely perfect.

Agreed! I am going to consider this resolved. BTW anyone wondering about the Fen Air upgrade; the company made it pretty easy. Everything mounted into place with virtually no problems. The Sanden compressor is much lighter, and was easier to move around and get into place. A separate bracket was included for the cruise control bellows to maintain the original mounting location. I mounted it but haven't tried the cruise control yet. They provided clear instructions on everything. I appreciate everyone's advice and ideas!!
