Hi there poboy, welcome to the site.....always great to welcome another tech. Trust me, you will be made welcome here by everyone as we are aware of the great help you guys can / do provide. Bulldoze is another recent addition to our site and has helped out some already.
I'll get you guys the tech certified badges for your insignia shortly.
There's already some great techs here on site such as Jagtechohio, Jag genius and Real tech although not as frequently....their assistance always welcomed.
Here's hoping you guys like the site and hang around for a while
All the best

I don't know eagle, except i know that they are missed.
Brutal drops by once in awhile and posts, i've noticed that. I'm hoping dealer service business is doing so well, that they don't have as much time available for the forums.

Hey there, you may want to visit the Xtype section and check there. I'm sure this has been visited before.
Also check out the Xtype FAQ quick links for loads of good info on your ride and potential issues / solutions

Here below, for quick and easy reference is an up to date list of ALL Jagetchs that have been or are currently on site.
I will do my best to try and keep this as up to date as possible for the benefit of all. In the event that there are any changes that have gone unnoticed, please pm / email me so I can amend ASAP.
I don't think I've missed anyone. If I have, accept my apologies and please advise me so I can rectify immediately.
Seems like some of the Techs have abondoned us guys ... looks like we may have to try and add to our tech database......Any recomendations, please advise

I hear a knocking when I go over speed bumps, as well as in and out of driveways on my X-Type. I googled this and several pops us refer to Anti Roll Bar Links or Stabilizer Bar Link Bushings. Would that be accurate? Is that expensive? Thanks... Apologies if this is the wrong thread/area to post. Trying to get use to the site.

Hello Jim, and everyone . I know I have not posted in awhile. I have been very active in another forum. (cherokeeforum.com)
I am a Master Certified Technician and currently hold 4 of the 7 Master certifications for Medium/Heavy Truck and Bus.
I enjoy repairing my Jag and also helping others. If not frowned upon, I would like to try to help as many here as I can.

I have been on this forum for a while and I did not realize that Jaguar mechanics were requested to register as such. I have worked at independant British car repair shops, VW and Jaguar dealers for over 30 years. I started with a 1958 VW beetle in the early 70s and then moved to MGs, Triumphs, BSA motorcycles and Jaguars etc.
I left the local Jag dealer in 2006 and have my own shop for European car repair. I have Silver Cloud and Silver Shadow info/experience but there is not much call for that here in rural Texas.

Hey there motorcarman, thanks for the heads up on the tech part.
Its not that techs are required to register as such, its more, if we know who you guys are with a\ll the knowledge we can let everyone else know who to ask for help....lol
If you can help out and answer questions to help solve issues with day to day problems that the members have, thats great and we all really appreciate the work you guys do.
I can then get you the "tech certified" banner that will let everyone know of your status.
Thanks
