Default Jag wheel badges

Hello to all my Jag buddies-

I am in need of the Jag Growler badge for my new set of wheels. I am looking for the self adhesive tin ones and not the replacement Jaguar ones with the cap. Can anyone help me? I have found some on the UK EBay. I just put some new 20inch wheels on my 02 XKR conv. I cant seem to find them anywhere.

Danny, while this may not be quite the answer you are after, I am not sure where you can find the tin adhesive pieces. The option that I will offer to you is to stop by your local hobby shop, ones that specialize in RC cars, model trains, etc. If you look in the decal/paint section, you will find some stuff called "decal paper". If you look, it will come in 2 styles, white background and clear. What you want is the clear. From here, you can go home and using your computer, take an image of a Growler and white out the areas that you don't want using a photoshop program. Then, keeping the images at 200+ dpi, print the images out on the decal paper to the appropriate size. From here, put a coat of gloss clear on the decal sheets.

At this point, you will need to cut out the Growlers. Make sure to leave a little edge (about 1/8" extra) away from the Growler. Now, pull off your caps and putting the decal paper Growlers into a bowl of water, let them set there for about a minute and then pull 1 out at a time, sliding the clear film off of the white backing paper. The Growler will slide with the clear film on to your cap. Center the Growler. Using a paper towel, press the Growler into the cap to force all the water out from under the clear film. Ensure the decal film is flat. Now, apply a little bit of decal setting solution (comes in a 4 ounce bottle that has a clear liquid in it). The decal will wrinkle slightly, but leave it alone. The decal will flatten itself back out. Once dry, coat the entire cap in a clear that matches the wheels (ie, if glossy, coat with gloss, if a matte finish, coat with a semi-gloss).

if you need more help with this, let me know. using this process, you can make the Growler whatever color you want. The only limitation is what you can do with the photoshop program. But, please note that the decal will take the shape of the cap. So, if there is writing on the cap, it will be sucked down into the writing.

Would this be what you are after that is manufactured?

Now, these are only 1-5/8" in diameter, so, might be a little bit on the small side. But, I am sure with a bit more looking, you can find larger ones. I also found some actual caps that were 2-1/4" in diameter that had a raised face on them of the Leaper. These are the standard caps on the XJ8's and S-Types according to the ad. But, those were $12 each plus $5 S&H each. So, might be more than you are willing to spend. Not sure.
