Did Jaguar change the label on the litre bottle of antifreeze? The bottle I recently bought on-line, has a different label than my old bottle. I can't find any pics on-line of Jaguar antifreeze with a label like what's pictured. Even the dealership said they still have the antifreeze with the label that has green lettering. Thanks!
I don't of many (any) members here that buy coolant at a Jag dealership. There's nothing special about it. Jag simply rebrands mass-marketed fluids at much higher prices

Now you do.
The only parts I never use my Jaguar Dealer for are brake pads and discs.
With coolant, the change interval is every 5 years. In that time I'll cover around 60k miles and use over 15,000 UKP in fuel. Worry about the cost of coolant? I don't think so!
I can't even get that Jaguar parts site to come up now! Lol! I did email them.
The lot # on my old bottle is 26K12. I'm thinking the 12 is for 2012, because I bought the bottle in 2013. The recently purchased bottle has 20A16, so I'm thinking the 16 is for 2016.
Both bottles are identical. The newer one is sealed. The newer one's label has a code at the bottom: 05/15 JA EU U15.
They could have changed labeling. Just strange no one else has seen it, including some of the dealerships I emailed pics to. I sent Jaguar a few emails with pics, but so far they haven't answered.
Just concerned about knockoffs. Happened to me buying stuff on-line a few times already.
Well good to know about their A F
I just did a filter fuel change and I have been using the dealer for service and I assume they would use Jag parts.
Well they use Motoecraft filter which is Ford, so now I am concerned that they would use brake fluid and Anti Freeze off the shelf!
No harm no foul just maybe higher price for the Cat brand!
sds.jaguar.com got back with me & said the pictures I provided are the current 'new' label, & that Jaguar did change the labeling. I guess I'm the first in North America, maybe even the world, to have bought one with the new label. I feel so special!
Once again, I bought a 1 litre bottle of Jaguar Antifreeze from Terry's Jaguar, and the bottle and labeling are different from my past purchases. Can't find any pics online of what I just got in, except a reverse image search on Yandex yielded the same bottle in Nissan and Land Rover labeling only.
Has anyone else encountered this style/color/labeling for Jaguar labeled antifreeze? (See pics).
Shot off some communications to Jaguar, because last time they did answer me about the labeling change on the white bottle, but I'm not sure if I sent questions to the same place.
Just wondering about Terry's Jag, and whether or not he's bottling his own.
I'm aware there are other brands that meet the specs. I have Motorcraft VC-3-B coolant that I plan on switching to during the next flush. Just wanted a bottle of what's in it now... the Jaguar Antifreeze. I just don't like to mix brands even if they are compatible with each other. Although I've done it by accident before... like the time I wore two different brands of sneakers to the store. Lol.
The ingredient list is on the backside of this black bottle stuff...
Jaguar orange coolant was originally Havoline\Texaco XLC, same as FORD Super Plus, standard WSS-M97B44-D. XLC went by the trade name of DEX-COOL when installed in GM vehicles. Suppliers have changed over the years and multiple companies make coolants to GM 6277M and WSS-M97B44-D specification, they are all the same. If you pay for GM license it will have the DEX-COOL logo plastered on the front of the bottle.
Ford have retired WSS-M97B44-D and it can be replaced with Motorcraft VC-13G coolant.

Note the Ford spec WSS-M97B44-D and DEXCOOL.
.
european companies color their off brand OAT violet because VW vehicles are dominant.
TL,DR:
Jaguar antifreeze has changed suppliers multiple times, is an extremely common spec and anybody who knowingly purchases it will be judged for their choice.
