Jaguar service and it's new owner ...
My wife and I are trying to decide between a '04-'07 BMW 6-series and a '04-'07 Jaguar XJn. We're pretty sold on the BMW, but the Jaguar is a very nice car as well.
Now that Tata Motors has taken over operations from Ford, what sort of service should we expect if we go with the Jaguar? I know we wouldn't have a warranty, but I'm talking about parts availability and factory trained service techs, etc., etc. BMW's service is near second to none ... and I figured Jaguar was the same, but now with Tata ... I don't know.
Just trying to decide and don't want to make a mistake and buy a Jaguar that I can't later resell. You know?
Thoughts?

You are on a Jaguar enthusiast forum, so what can I say?
However, I would look at the service facilities and conditions in your area.
Our Jag Techs on here are highly trained and highly skilled guys. I know that they go through the same type of rigorous training as any other brand.
You will always be able to resell either of these cars, but, it is more a question of ownership enjoyment, individuality, and the ability to show that you are self confident.
Regards parts availability, not an issue, Jags never go wrong, as evidenced here. LOL
If you are a 'go with the flow' type of guy then probably the BM, but if you like a little individuality coupled with a certain 'Je ne sais quoi' then Jaguar.
In all instances you can land on a bad one. BM or Jag
