I can't find it in the JLR Tool catalogue but the JD reference system was superseded some years ago and tool numbers commence with 204:

If you spotted JD 135 in JTIS. look it up in the catalogue from the 204 reference.

Thanks Graham - got it. 204-115 and it's the front lower shock bush removal tool. I didn't know such a list existed.
So that's for the front lower shock bush, I wonder why there is no rear bush removal tool. I think the two bushes are different sizes or am I mistaken?

I find seeing an illustration of the Jaguar tool is often a useful guide to working out how to improvise an alternative.
There's been a few threads on rear shock bush removal. Here's an example:

Thanks again. I have seen some of these threads and as we speak I have a local guy looking into making something like the one you refer to. On the other hand I saw a video where a guy used a socket and piece of pipe in the same way. By happy coincidence I have a suitable socket to drive the bush out and in but I lack a suitable bit of pipe. I also have some all thread that may be strong enough and a bolt that is definitely strong enough but probably not long enough.
I'm having a lovely time fettling my recently bought XK8, so far anyway. However, an MOT looms.

GGG and Dr.mike. You can go here and see the tools--numbers and a cross ref. to all of the legacy numbers up to today. Hope it helps you. https://www.jcna.com/tool-loan
