Right way.
It is forbidden to save a file to a given directory, not to save a file. It is possible to save the CFG file to the desktop, for example, and then copy it to the desired Flash directory.

I have just installed this EPC on a laptop with no Adobe Flash Player so this fix doesn't work for me. I've tried downloading Flash but due to it being phased out I'm not able to as it just stops you completing it. Anyone got any ideas please?

I did exactly what Aarcuda did. The file already was there and could add the needed line to it but could not save it until I changed the permissions.

Even now tried it from a third party site (softonic) but not allowing me on my old Win7 Toshiba laptop. I'm a bit stuck here as will others who download it nowadays on a none flash player system.

I think you need a hex editor for method 1. See post #8

I got a pop-up from Adobe Flash Player to uninstall from my Win XP Pro 32 bit.
Message on the bottom of the pop-up states.....

if FLASH PLAYER is still required, please update to the latest version to receive improvements
in usability, security, and stability. Click the 'Download' button to be taken to the
Flash Player download center to receive the latest version.

Should I try that or just attempt to modify the file already installed?

I got that message on my Win 7 machine. I went to the download site but my malware software warned me off.
I modified the existing file.

This might help but you will need to follow the directions closely as flash is dead and they really don't want you using it anymore.
Install Flash

Adobe Flash Page

Graham;

I checked the verbiage in the text file and corrected as recommended. Unfortunately, It did not solve the problem though.

clubairth1;

I tried the two links you provided, but when opening the files from the page the link lead me two, there is nothing shown other than the heading, no text.

All look OK to me... something is perhaps blocking your PC.

This is just a general tip but I have run into the same thing. So I keep just about any browser I can find on my PC. There is so many differences that maybe Chrome or Firefox or Edge or Safari can see and open it but the others can't?
I am not smart enough to know or explain why but when frustrated I try lots of stuff!
I will say that it's far worse if trying to do it on a phone or tablet. A PC has a lot more options.

When clicking on the links on the page my second link goes to you should get a save file dialog box?
