Glad it worked but you have a 2010 which has the 6 speed ZF and yes that is well known because Mercon SP is identical to Lifeguard6.
gimag70 has a 2013 XF which has the 8 speed ZF which uses a different fluid.
gimag70 since your question is about transmission fluid rather than SDD I think you will get better answers if you post a new thread about it on the XF forum instead of here in general tech help??
The SDD can't restore the shifting to where it was only clear the currently learned adaptations so the car can start over from scratch.
