jagman, what vehicle are we talking about here? That might help us narrow things down for you. If you are talking about something from say 95-04, there are repair guides that you can download here. Newer than that, odds are you are looking at a service like Alldata.com. Older than 95, probably a special order through your local auto parts store. But, with the car, we can narrow things down even more.

THanks for the advise THermo. I followed it and found what i thought would be a better file but i was wrong. Every time i download and unzip it says my file is corrupt. i tried 3 different times to unzip and install but to no avail.
I will keep looking for a better seed.
i have also tried to downlaod and install using windows 7 on a different pc.

TBH, it's a damn sight easier to just buy one from eb@y for a few bucks - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jagua...sQ5fLiterature

I have heard some people have had success using the Virtual PC XP mode - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/vir.../download.aspx
You have to have Windows 7 Professional to download the XP compatability for use with the Virtual PC aspect of w7.
I'm still looking for another option.....

I subscribed to ALLDATAdiy.com, and it seriously lacks in pictorials. Do you think someone there could make a simple diagram of the engine with an arrow pointing to the MAP sensor? Apparently not.
Do I have an opinion about ALLDATAdiy? Not yet, but so far they can't hold a candle to Chilton's.

Sadly for you guys, the answer is quite simple, in 2004 when the final JTIS was released, Windows 7 and Vista hadn't even been dreamt of, 64 bit computers certainly weren't in general use never mind in home PCs, it was designed for the technology of the day, in much the same way cars from that era don't have DAB and DVB.
