MOST Bus hacking/decoding, now do-able!
I thought this warranted a new thread, as it has evolved so much since the original here. After what has now been years, and a huge amount of time (and enjoyment/frustration) I've released the PiMost. For anyone that was following the original thread, of creating a canbus application (this all started long before the xf/xk chinese screens were around) the MOST bus was the main limiting factor, it was so ingrained in the system, that it really couldn't have been replaced. But I've spent the last few months designing a circuit board for the raspberry Pi (HAT), and also the drivers to go with it, to allow anybody to tap into the MOST bus, take control of it, pull data, inject data, inject audio etc etc. It would have been far easier, and cheaper to of just purchased one of the chinese ones, but I am hoping that this will open the doors to alot more people and really get an open source community going to properly open the protocol. It does now mean I can revisit the app, with the new functionality, and see what exactly can be done. It's all still early days, so it's not quite at the easy entry level for people but if anyones looking to contribute they will be welcome, all the software I create for this, and anything going forward will be open source.
Overview of the HAT
Installation/demo of a half baked app at the end (based on the fl2, however also works fine on the xf)
