My wife recently purchased a replacement key/fob for my '04 X-Type as a birthday gift for me, and I wanted to let you know about her experience. After about a week of shopping around, she ordered the uncut key/fob from Remote's Incorporated, an eBay seller. She says that she chose the site because they had had by far the best price for the item. Furthermore, all products listed by the seller were brand new, and all listings had photos and clear descriptions indicating the models to which they were applicable. My wife also appreciated the fact that the seller was very clear about the programming requirements (i.e. the fact that Jaguar keys are not user-programmable). The standard free shipping was incredibly fast—she placed the order early on Tuesday afternoon, and it was delivered (to Virginia from California) in the Thursday mail delivery.

After receiving the key, I had no problems getting either the key or the fob programmed to the vehicle. It is at least of the same quality as the original key I received with the vehicle, if not higher. If you ever need a replacement key for your Jag (or any other vehicle), I highly recommend checking out Remote's Incorporated on eBay.
