Anyone with access to WDS systems I am interested in buying parts or accessories. Trying to get another WDS running. I am interested in:

Any cables
Any Ford/Jaguar software

Anything WDS related I am interested in purchasing.

I was just composing a new post for Genrad/WDS when I saw this.

I have received a few requests for info about loading software onto the WDS PTU without the docking station. I bought a Genrad WDS for Ford and discovered that the docking station was faulty. I managed to load Jaguar software onto the unit with a spare hard drive and a borrowed docking station. I thought about it for a while and devised a plan to use an adapter cable to link the PTU with the HDD and a CD ROM drive without the docking station.

Here are some pics and a link to the cable I purchased to get the HDD loaded.
I bought several cables and adapter plugs etc.

It worked out great and I eventually got a working docking station so I did not have to use this method any longer. I gave one of the adapter cables and some CDs to someone in need of the software and no docking station. He reported back that it worked out fine.
He sent some software that I did not have so the swap worked out great.

I have Ford and Jaguar software but no Aston Martin CDs

I know Land Rover shared IDS with Jaguar but not WDS so I don’t think it is compatible.

Send me an address to get the CD copies to you. If you are in Europe then it might take a while for the package to clear your Country Custom's regulations. (the Middle East is the WORST)
