Default OEM VIN decoder

Good evening to everyone,

Can anyone help me locate a Daimler VIN to OEM decoder like this: AUDI VIN to OEM parts decoder Also a Jaguar VIN to OEM parts decoder would be useful.
Regards to all, Tommaso

https://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/Daimler

Like this one? It was the first web page to come up when I googled "Daimler VIN decoder"

Parts decoder? I'm not sure what you mean, but the JDHT has got all the part numbers on their website. Punch in the part number, and it'll tell you what it is?

Thank you Vee, I appreciate your help.

Also I had found this same page but, unfortunately, it is not accurate. When I insert my Daimler Double Six 1992 VIN it returns a Jaguar S-Type 2012. So it is useless.

I also found the second one, this, but it does not allow you to search for parts by VIN number. You can only search parts by model. Often there were slight variations within one model that can only be confirmed by VIN search.

Hi Tommaso,
Most of the VIN decoders on the internet don't work properly, and I don't think there is a Jaguar equivalent to the Audi site that you linked.

However, there is the Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalogue - which is based on the model - but it does show VIN breaks where parts may have changed. I use it all the time.

Member androulakis has kindly provided a thread allowing its download, and help with the installation. I'm sure it will assist you:

Good luck!

That AUDI etc one doesn't work for various VINs, and the situation with internet-available Jaguar ones is about the same sadly.

Thank you for the information. I assumed that it was fine as it worked with my Audi but, nevertheless, thank you.

Thank you Michaelh, I download the RAR file and installed the catalogue. I have to learn how to use it but I don't seem to be able to link my VIN to the parts even in this catalogue. I will investigate better.

I've been trying to find the build information for my xjl using thes vin decoder websites but the results vary from a non existent vin to the car is a 5.0 v8 x-type it boggles your mind. I'm half tempted to pay for jaguar topix 1 month access to see what that says.

Ben.
VIN decoder websites are largely US based and frequently wildly inaccurate for imported models.

Did you look at the table for your model in this thread?
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/g...tables-145996/

TOPIx is available by the hour or day but data on earlier models is limited.

Graham
