Programming Remote Key Fobs X Type, S Type XJ350

I have recently had to purchase a new remote control portion of my car key (XJ350) having tried all sorts of cheap fixes and resoldering and other attempts to breathe life into it, and eventually gave up and purchased a new one from a local supplier for £129. sounds steep, but try your local dealer price!
To get the car to recognise the new key we did the following and it all worked.
Registering keyfob with car
1 Pull headlight lever to "flash" [back] and insert key while holding. We did this with the driver's door closed.
2 While still holding headlight lever, turn key to position I [not ignition on, that's position II]
3 Release headlamp lever and then flash headlights four more times.
4 You will hear a beep
5 Press a button on each fob to program [it will beep for each one]. you need to do them all even if they already worked as it will disable them if you don't
6 Key off
7 check they all work and if not repeat.
Then you can link the key remote to the seat memory (I think X350 only, not X or S Types)
1.Insert key in to ignition
2.Adjust seat/steering wheel/pedals
3.Press M button (light will illuminate for 5 secs so do steps 4 and 5 quickly!)
4.Press memory button 1, 2 or 3
5.Press any button on remote, you'll hear a beep.
Then when you unlock the car with the remote it will set the seat to the related memory position, saving much argument with the other half.
These can be found on the forums, and I acknowledge those that have posted them previously, so many thanks. What I haven't found is them both in one post, so here it is.
Enjoy
