Replacement Ventilated Seats

I am purchasing a 2013 Jaguar XF with heated but not ventilated seats. I found ventilated seats for a 2013 jaguar XF on eBay. But two different Jaguar dealership’s service departments said there is no way to hook up the wiring and make them work in my car. Is there a way?

Welcome to the forums Andy,
It's not simply a matter of powering the ventilator fans. Checking the Parts Catalogue, I see the heated and ventilated seat setup in your X250 in similar in principle to that in my XK.
The ventilated seats have different control modules and the heating/cooling function is controlled through the touch screen and climate control. At the minimum the likely changes are going to be:
1. additional seat harness
2. program the seat module in Jaguar SDD
3. program (and possibly even change) the touchscreen
Anything can be done given sufficient determination and money but I suspect changing the car for one with ventilated seats would be a lower cost alternative.

I can see from JEPC (Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalogue) there are two front seat types:
1. 10 way
2. 16 way
Further to this is:
1. Non heated
2. Cooled/heated
The various trim options don't affect the issue.
It sounds like you want to go from base 10 way / Non heated to 16 way Cooled/heated. With the matching module(s), it should be possible to get the additional position adjustment controls to work but cooling/heating will be where the real challenge begins. The electrical schematics are essential to determine the differences and work out if and how the upgrade can be done. I suggest a post in the model forum to find out if anyone has the schematics.
