Restricted Performance - SOLVED?

IN MY PREVIOUS POST:
”While cruzing around 65mph I went to pass a another vehicle.
I floor it and when I get ahead of the car my Jaguar losses power. It is like
something gave way "no power to accelerate". And the Yellow Lite comes on
with a message in my display reading "Restricted Performance".
I am able to go about 65 mph "but zero power" , when I push the accelerator
down - nothing. I get off my exit and am going about 35 mph – still no power. It is like
it is running in reserve power.
When I get to my destination , I turn the car off. I then start the car back up
and take it done the road, it is fine now.
The abovequestion was posted at a earlier date.
The car is under warranty however: The last time I took it in “engine – yellow light came on”
They "dealership"kept the car for one week. And after all that time , they could not give me a straight answer
As to what was wrong with my car. So my level of confidence with their ability to repair my Jaguar
Is not very high.
I have a couple of mechanic’s in my shop, one of them said sounds like restricted air or fuel.
So I had him replace the fuel filter “the air filter was almost new”.
He mentioned to me that there was a difference between the old and new filter when he blew through them.
That was last week and I have since then put the pedal to the metal - and NO "Resricted Performance" warning.
Well fingers crossed,we will see if that nasty RP code rear's it's nasty head.
So If any one has a similar problem in the future , check the fuel “and air” filter first . They are easy and
Cheap fixes.
Thanks for your help.
