Default Scissor lift

Been reading some posts on Scissor lifts as I am definitely going to get one as its harder to get off the floor now and I have a Daimler to rebuild! Suggested models have the pistons in the middle of the lift preventing access but there are versions with separate ramps and pistons joined across the floor only so leaving the centre line clear for access. Are these OK and safe? Any recommendations for a good one?
Thanks

I have a BENDPAK which is awesome, lots of center access, Lifts 7000 lbs. I have moved it 3 times , once to a new house and once to redo the floor.
WHen not in use, it is out of the way.
I can send some pics if you wish.

New FLoor; shows how little space this takes up. No giant 2 or 4 posts!

And of course, you can park a car there.

When I built the garage, I have 10 foot walls but the ceiling is arched to 12 feet. So I can pick up my 3 ton GMC yukon.

THe lift goes to 5 ' 8 inches, I am 5 7 so I can walk under any car...

Hope all of these help, sorry for the pic size...

To paraphrase Doc Brown: "It's taken me nearly thirty years and my entire family fortune to realize the vision of [this garage]. "

Money well spent...... sadly we would never get planning permission for such a structure! Bendpak do have an outlet here but no published pricing so I have to enquire which would suggest I need to up my budget.
