Windows 10 x64, everything works with the Internet, is updated, and so on. It is advisable to restore to the original state in order to remove all unnecessary programs and free up space on disk C. important! windows 10 x64 is in conflict due to the parallel configuration of the sdd software! Therefore, before installing sdd, I recommend downloading and installing from the official Microsoft website visual c++ 2005 sp1 x64 and x86, the same with 2008 sp1. if you have version x32, then download and install visual c++ 2005 sp1 and 2008 only versions x32. more:Download sdd v160.00full.we establish, agree with everything. we reboot, download and install versions 01, 02, 03 sequentially. There may be such an error during installation due to a parallel configuration conflict, but this is solvable (wrote above)We reboot after installing the latest version. 2. run the command line (cmd) from the administrator , run the command: mklink /D "C:\Program Files\JLR" "C:\Program Files (x86)\JLR" 3. add a line to the file C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts 127.0.0.1 topix.landrover.jlrext.com 4. we also add lines to the files "c:\Program Files\JLR\IDS\SDD\app.properties" and "c:\Program Files\JLR\SDD\SDD\app.properties" Code: sdd.windows10.enabled=true sdd.ie11.enabled=truewe are installing an indefinite patch. it is activated once and will not ask for activation again. 6. Now run sdd on the desktop. go to the top right in settings, network settings, a window will appear with the settings of the laptop's Internet address. click Activate. 7. go to the Dealer Information tab, select the country.calculator of codes with a virus attention!!!download link https://pixeldrain.com/u/Jdadr6X8
now I will post a link to the calculator of the engineering menu. To work with it, you need to disable the antivirus
greatly appreciate your help. I will give it a try. Just the laptop I have the program in, the screen took a crap. But it's fixed now. Thanks again. I'll see how it goes
I installed your SDD v160 on two different computers (under Windows 7 and Windows 10) by following your tutorial. The installation went well but I have the same problem on both computers: when I launch SDD, it hangs for several minutes on the white screen with the blue SDD logo and the loading bar then the program crashes.

You have a problem with internet explorer or correct windows visual c++ pack is not installed. Do you have internet explorer? If not if it is edge? If it is edge - enable internet explorer mode. If not download Visuall c++ pack c++ 2005 sp1 and 2008 install and 64 and 86, whatever system allows.
I've installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 and 2008, in both x64 and x86 versions. As it didn't work, I installed a pack including all Visual C++. Unfortunately, it still doesn't work.
I finally managed to install and use SDD V160 and activate engineer mode. I got there by formatting my hard drive and reinstalling a fresh Windows x32 then I followed Ura's tutorial.
Now I'm trying to program a used ECM. I thought that with engineer mode I would be able to bypass the "VIN mismatch" message when I choose to program a new module but that does not work for the moment. I continue my research. Thank you for your help.
You can disconnect any module then do a scan. The go to program a new module. THEN plug the bad module back in just BEFORE you attempt to program it.
Here is what I cut out of the SDD best practices if you don't want to read the full thread I linked?
So this looks like a way to "backdoor" putting a used module in? I have not tried this and can't say if it works but the above is from Jaguar directly.

good afternoon, colleague. in general, a couple of questions to you. 1 when did the replacement ecm did you disconnect the power from the unit ? and 2 how many keys and with a chip do you have? (need 2)
here's what will be described on our forum jaguar :As far as I know, it is enough to program it, to register / adapt it to work with the car. Next, go for a ride and read possible fault codes. What happened to yours?
Thanks Clubairth1 for the idea to trick SDD by changing the ECM just before reprogramming. I had this idea but didn't dare try it. But if Jaguar recommends it, I'll give it a try.
Ura, I didn't understand if the questions you asked were intended for me or Clubairth1.
