All that running-in stuff has long gone ! I was surprise to see a figure of 24000 kms, but that is for a diesel XF, in fact, according to the Jaguar official website, it is 26,000kms. However, always read the small print in the documents you get with the car. If you don't make the miles you must service every 12 months. Also, you will find it comments about the car doing lots of short slow journeys, these affect the oil far more, so it is best to reduce the miles between servicing. All the servicing for at least 60,000 miles (= nearly 100k kms) on modern Jaguars is just oil and filter, (and air filter), plus inspections, plus any service actions ordered by Jaguar.

Remember, oil is cheap, engines are expensive, so if in doubt, change oil and filter more frequently.
