WDS power supply crash, where to find new?
Borrowed a WDS system from a friend. Tried to get my x300 xjr6 engine to work in my xjs of 1985. Made a standalone ECM and got rid of all other computer stuf. The new IDS system does not recognise it, the WDS does. Each time i turned of the power. Now it doesn't go on again.
Tried new Atx power suplly but the 16volts are missing, connecting 12v to this port does not work.
Can any one help or fix these things?
Thanks.

There was a discussion about this in the GENRAD 3500 WDS post.
For a temporary fix you can use the A204 cable to power the PTU and keep the batteries charged.
I need to make a backup power supply in case mine fails.
A separate 13 to 16 volt power supply can be wired into the square plug to run the batteries.

Hello Bob,
Thank you for your quick response. Today at work found a universal laptop power supply(for in the car) wich was to change between several voltages and also 16 v and 8.5A. Bought the same straight after work and soldered it to a standard ATX power supply(300w) and now she works again. Yes Yes Yes.
In the end i hope to buy this machine because its the only thing that is able to do o2 sensor orientation and throttle pot adaptation.
Thank you for your help.
