ROLLTIDE914, I would recommend getting the codes read on the car and posting them here. What you are describing can be a lot of different things and to have us start guessing as to what is wrong can get very expensive on your part. If you have a code reader, use it. If you don't, now may be a good time to get one (can be had for as little as $20) or your local auto parts store will either read the codes for you or for a deposit, you can rent it and take it home to read the codes. You do not even need to start the engine. All you need to do is insert the code reader to the reader port under the steering wheel and then turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. That will bring the car to the point that it can read the codes.
