Default ZF 4HP22 fitting

Hello all. I'm working on a ZF 4HP22 transmission and have run into a snag getting one part. Its the fitting that comes out of the trans for the upper cooling line. The fitting screws into the trans is 18 x 1.5 mm. Then the coolant line screws onto that which is also 18 X 1.5mm. The Stücklistennummer on the trans is 1043 010 496 and the serial number is 0853680. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jack

Sorry, its a 1988 BMW 635csi. I know this is a Jaguar forum but I figured it was worth a try. Hoping they would be similar transmissions and someone could have some insight. Thanks again

No problem but if you knew what models of Jaguar used this transmission I can look it up in the electronic parts catalog to see if maybe Jaguar offers that part separately.

I do have one suggestion?
I like and use this place and all they do is ZF stuff. I would be willing to bet they would have an answer for you?
You did not post where your at so I not sure this will work for you as they are in the US?
ZF Parts

Klaus use to be easy to talk to but I have heard that they prefer E-Mail over phone calls?
Now you do have an older 4 speed version and The CTSC web site shows stuff for the 5,6 and 8 speed versions. So I am not sure how many 4 speed parts they have?

The 1988/89 3.6 liter XJ40 uses the ZF 4HP22.

I have the ZF service manual.

Thanks clubairth1, I sent an email off to him and will see what happens. I looked through that entire manual motorcarman and only saw 2 pics with the line in it and no part numbers though, Thanks for trying. This is a great site, alot of people willing to help out. Thanks again

If you do find the part it would be great if you could stop back and finish this thread up?
It is a rare one but maybe someone with that year of transmission will be looking for that part too?

Well I finally found the fitting I needed. The aftermarket BMW sites were no help. Countless emails to ZF were no help since the trans is so old and they said it was a BMW part anyway. Three trips to the dealer were no help either. To add insult to injury all the fittings I ordered had to come from Germany so probably 2 months wasted waiting on the wrong part. I finally found it on ebay. Its from Adaptall and the part # is 9001-18-18. Thanks for everyones help
