Default 2019 I-Pace vs. 2022

After my 2019 was totalled I bought a 2022 and there are some interesting and one annoying, differences.
The Good:
The Audio system is a ton better, it boots fast, hasn't crashed yet (the 2019s crashed a lot), and sounds just as good as the 2019 did but it also supports wireless phone services like CarPlay and you can enable Alexa which is kind of fun. There is a dedicated button to release the charging cable, so you no longer have to unlock the car once or twice to get the charging cable to release. It got an active mirror (camera-based) so you can see in the back of the car a ton better. Homelink (for your gates and garage doors) works much better due to the far greater range. Improved phone charging options (including inductive charging) for front and back seats. No SIM card, the car came already connected to T-Mobile.

Neutral: The back seat controls have been massively cost-reduced; instead of dedicated controls, you get two heated seat buttons (since I rarely used the back seats I don't really care). The activity bracelet was discontinued, I never got it to work on my old car, so it won't be missed.

Annoying (I won't say bad):
The car didn't have Adaptive Dynamics with Configurable Dynamics, nor did it have JaguarDrive Control with Adaptive Surface Response (best guess was there was a supply problem) but one of my favorite features in the 2019 was Adaptive Dynamics which changes the main display when you go into dynamic mode and tightens up the ride. I find I'm missing that feature a lot.

Other than having to wrap the car again and get the wheels powder coated to match, I'm loving the new car and can't wait to see what Jaguar has in store for 2025. (2024 looks like just a minor facelift from the '22/'23).
