Charging During 8 months’ Storage
I’m going to leave my 2019 I-Pace HSE in my garage for eight months each year.
Here’s what I have so far:
Here’s what I have so far:
- leave the big battery between 30% and 70% and it will be fine;
- get A CTEC charger for the conventional 12V battery (which doesn’t just trickle charge but cycles the battery from time to time for its long term health)

There is a tow bar available in Europe for the car that likely comes with the same connector as the Range Rover, but it isn't available in the US. But that suggests this can be done, and the cars could already be wired for that connector, particularly given your car is a Europe spec car. But given how rare this configuration is, I'd make sure Jaguar blessed this use before doing it because cooking the electrics in any modern car can be a costly fix. Given that dealers commonly connect their cars on the showroom floor to chargers, it would seem natural for a dealer to use this connector when available, and they may have some experience with it. In short, I'd check with your dealer, and please let us know what you find out.
