sweet! ours should be ready any day now as well. We were told that the dealer needed a few days to unpack and check everything out before ewe could take it.
So the dealer just said they think they can have the car ready for pickup by 5PM Saturday which is a tad problematic because I fly in to Portland at around 7:30 in the morning (can likely move that), but I fly back out again to Hawaii at 7 AM on Sunday. What makes for a problem is that we are supposed to get snow and that means a 3 to 4 hour drive home in a brand new car in the dark the night before having to get up at 5AM to catch that damn plane. My wife wants to wait till we get back from Hawaii to pick the car up, I don't want to leave it with the dealer for a week. From a safety standpoint she is likely right. (Oh and the snow tires for the car are sitting in my garage so I'll have to use those snow sock things to drive home, I hate the risk of chains not to mention I really hate putting the damn things on). We are trying to "motivate" the dealer to get the car ready earlier. Any thoughts?
The Good News is that our car arrived at the dealer last Thursday and we were extremely excited to be able to fly to Portland to pick it up today. The bad news is some nimrod (technical term) at the dealer somehow put a huge scratch in the hood so I was given the choice of flying there, bringing the car home (3 hour drive), having it sit for a week while I travel, drive it back to Portland, fly home, fly back in another week after it was repainted, and then driving it home again or just letting them keep it and repainting the hood. So my car pick-up is now delayed until a week from Monday... Not a happy camper...
That color is stunning. I test drove the I Pace at the LA Auto Show a few days ago and all I can say is wow.. Such a comfortable, smooth, and responsive ride. Excited for you to finally get yours!

That's such a shame as nothing equals factory paint durability. Regardless, enjoy your new ride...once you get your hands on it.
Thanks, fly to Portland to pick it up tomorrow and then 3 or so hours on icy roads to get it home. Should be OK they plow aggressively here and I'll drive conservatively. Really looking forward to it.
My FE I-Pace in Photon Red arrived at the dealer last week. Went to see it on Saturday.
I was not comfortable with the color. To me there's a bit too much orange in it than what was shown in the marketing materials.
I'm going back today to make a final decision since I'll be able to see the car in the sun.
Attached are some pics. Tell me if I'm wrong. I don't want to ride in something that looks like a Fisher Price toy.
I'm not a fan of the red myself which is why I got the Blue, think the blue, gray, and black colors look the best on the car. But I'm red and green colorblind so reds and greens I avoid like the plague anyway. Agree, I see a lot of orange in that too, though it looks like you are looking at it in overcast, it may look very different in the sun. Best of luck!!
I ended up taking delivery of the vehicle. Photon Red is a chameleon color. Sometimes it looks a bit orange, other times bright red. Depends on the angle of the sun and whether you're looking at the paint in sunlight or shade.
I have my electrician coming next week to install the ChargePoint system in my garage.
In the meantime I'm struggling with the Jaguar InControl app. It's not updating the status of my I-Pace. Ugh.
At least you have your car, mine is still waiting for the patch that will bring my center displays back. Owned the car for two weeks, driven it one day... Good news is (I hope) they'll have a fix for my display (software patch) tomorrow.
Still waiting for delivery of my First Edition Grey. Told it would be delivered 12/5, than 12/12, than 12/29, than 1/4, still no I-Pace. I know the car hit the Brunswick GA port in mid-December, but according to the dealer, they have been told it is waiting for a "software" update. Read in some of the forum, I wonder if it has to do with the center console display? Anyway, Chargepoint installed 2 weeks ago and still has not been used.
Was advised yesterday that my First Edition, built in late November was at the port but would be delayed until mid-Feb or end of February due to faulty airbags. Replacement bags are not expected to arrive until mid-Feb, at earliest. Instead dealer had the same build, but done in December and delivered to the dealership on December 23 which the buyer backed out at last minute. Car looks great, never been titled and has 16 miles on it. I said I would take it instead of the one sitting in Brunswick for another month. Waiting to take delivery when my bank clears the funds, sometime this week.
We got another delay email now saying end of November
is it worth it? Yes. The acceleration is phenomenal. The handling is amazing. It feels as though it floats above the road rather than on it and in keeping with that theme, it truly sounds more like an aircraft than a car. When you are in dynamic mode and give it full acceleration (which is a significant battery drain), it feels as though it's taking off. I can't properly describe the driving experience. My only complaint is that Jaguar hasn't made provisions for owning the car in Barbados WI and I can't get to the app so I'm locked out of a lot of features.
