Our range has been 265 miles in the AM twice , these were mild mornings in the low 60's

It doesn't take much to figure out if the Range Estimator is wildly inaccurate or not and you don't have to take the car near zero to determine this. If you rely on it without knowing whether or not it is reliable, you could find yourself in an undesirable situation.

In the morning it said 265 miles. What did it say when you had driven 50 miles? I'm betting considerably less than 215 miles.

My point is just because the car says 265 miles when you are on a full charge, that doesn't mean you have 265 miles of range. If you plan a 200 mile trip only to find that 265 miles actually means 180 miles...I'm not saying this to be confrontational. I'm stating this because I have watched 90 miles worth of range turn out to be roughly 50, causing me to limp home with 3 miles of range remaining. You don't ever want to be in that situation.

I'm with you, even though the temperatures have moderated I'm still showing 195 miles of range which suggests I should get a nice uptick on my next drive but I'm still nervous about going long distance until more direct chargers are in. Sitting at a charter for 10 hours isn't my idea of a good time. That's kind of what knocked this car out of the top tier of the best cars for 2020 contest, they couldn't find a direct charger so they could track it. Said nice things but this lack of charging is really hurting reviews as is the slow A/V system, otherwise the reviews have been pretty glowing. I still love mine but I've just crossed the 1,000 mile mark and I got it in early December.

ours is pretty accurate, not 100% for sure, and some days more accurate than others., I know temp and conditioning of the battery has a lot to do with that. We do drive a lot, so maybe it has calibrated better than others.

I do understand it is a GOM at best, its not our first EV. I pay more attention to the % of charge.

I made a bad assumption that this was your first EV. My apologies.
