Mine is a bit to light as well. Doesn't match the dash.

Yea I did it myself the dash and all other wood parts after seeing that it was going to be hard finding that (Birdseye maple) I do a lot of custom work I just did the whole 9yrds I'm posting the rest of the pictures shortly

Okay, what type of wood is the shift knob made of? I am currently attempting to do the exact same thing with my light color knob to match the darker dash/trim. Yours looks fantastic!

pezzonovante88 I dont know exactly what kind of wood it is but its the original one that came out of the car I will be posting the rest of the pieces today to show how all of it came out

What wood-type/color stain and lacquer did you use on the shift knob?

Thanks guys ive done a lot of interior wood the color i mixed it myself and i used the polyurithane in the spray can for the clear it goes on much more even and it protects it real good depending on how many coats you put down im doing some changes to the material on pillar post and up top in the car also ill post some more for you all for some opinions and more advise

I changed the veneer on my s type from birds eyes maple to oak burl my self and it came out pretty sweet i tell ya! i can't figure out how to post pictures of it..
