Want to install my new leather seat covers for the the two front seats in my 95 XJS. I have seen dozens of you tube videos and it seems to easy, just buy hog rings, hogring pliers and you are done in 1 hour , but also I don't want to ruin my new leather either. I am definately not a patient/artsy type, so if it requires hours of patient work its best I leave it to a professional.
Anyone have a good idea of the time and skill level required here?

I have *some* experience replacing seat covers on a few cars, including XJS.
IMHO, SO much depends on how well/accurately the covers have been made. The art/skill/experience really comes into play when "adjusting" the fit of the covers to removes sags and wrinkles. Knowing how to tension the leather, where and how much padding to add, etc.
I've spent many, many hours and ended up with ...um....decent results.
If you want outstanding results I suggest leaving it to an experienced professional.
Cheers
