Middle muffler delete?
#5
It would have zero effect on emissions.
It would have a very minimal positive effect for power, probably not enough to feel. I'm going to do it because I want a little more volume of the exhaust, but not a loud exhaust.
It seems that from the people in the know (avos, etc), there is not a lot of power that can be gained from deleting just one set of mufflers. You would likely see a tiny bit more by also removing the front muffler and exchanging it for an x-pipe. The engineers did a pretty good job overall designing these cars.
It is my understanding that the rear mufflers are very similar construction to the borlas, which is why I'm choosing to remove the middle two and leave the first big one, last two and tips in place.

Removing the resonators (middle mufflers) it will not effect emissions but will affect the emissions test as the inspector typically looks under the vehicle with a mirror.
