The right colour for the XK 150 3,8l engine?
Hello,
I'm the proud owner of a very late XK 150 DHC - built in Nov. 1960 with matching numbers and a beautiful 3,8l engine. The car is located in Stuttgart/Germany now.
Unfortunately the original colour of the cylinder head is missing - must be a kind of "dark blue".
Can anybody help me finding the true and original colour-Number (RAL=?) or a a dealer who is able to deliver it to me (Germany preferred) ?
Tanks for any hint or idea !
regards
Andreas

Hi Andreas,
it's mid metallic blue. 3.8S (1960) was Pumpkin.
Are you sure it's Nov 1960 build, as last LHD car supplied on 25th October 1960 (S839010 BW)?
Here's my father's '57 DHC, (forgive the storage wheels!) we're restoring the very last RHD 150 DHC, it's a 3.8 "S" car. He will have a very nice pair once it's finished.
