Without going into a long story, we did have some serious spam issuesm which measnt drastic measures and now we do not have these issues anywhere near as much.....kinda tells i s own story!
If nothing else, any member who really wishes to become part ofthis forum and enjoy its benefits as well as contribute will read and read and read anyway ....then of course post as well to become a part of it!
I don't really see an issue

I've been reading the forums for about 2 years, since I got my 2005 XK8. Got a lot of good info and spent some bucks through the links. Registered back then but, did not come in to the forum for several months. Now, I had to re-register. I've been reading a good number of the maintenance articles but, unfortunately, not allowed to view the attached pictures that are important.
I would really like to have the access to those pictures and do not foresee in the near future the accumulation of the minimum numbers of required posts (10). Would you Admins be able to give me access, PLEASE?
Thanks

Hey ax,
His Dear Admin on his business trip so he might not log on the site as he used to nowadays .My best suggestion for you to visit New Member Forums , post a few welcoming messages or drop by other sections and post if you have a cup of tea on those particular stuffs .
After hitting 10 posts and wait two days , you will manually be using all the features

As a new member, I understand and have seen similar restrictions on a few other sites.
On one site I frequent, they give full access to the site, but the first few member posts are reviewed prior to showing up on the board. This means that it will take from one to three days for the post to show up. Of course if you donate, you get immediate posting privileges.
Personally, the desire to see the pictures was the main reason I joined so quickly, otherwise I tend to lurk around for a few months waiting for topics of interest, then join so I can respond.
I see no problem with the current restrictions, and appreciate not having to wade through pages of spam.

Hello,
Would it be possible for me to gain full access so I can see some pdf's? My uncle passed away last week and left a 1996 Vanden Plas in his driveway with a few problems, mainly no working air conditioning and the windows won't roll down. There was a box of airco tools/gauges and jag service manuals in the front passenger seat and the drivers door panel is taken apart. The car looks and drives nice (it's hot out but at least I can open the sunroof). My father asked me to see if I can get it working or at least put back together. I came down for the funeral and to help my father sort out the estate and am only in town for a couple more days, otherwise I wouldn't ask for immediate access.
Thanks

Hello - I am new to he forum and have already solved a few porblems with my Jag just by reading many posts. Can I get full access so that I can see pictures posted from other members on this forum. That would really be helpful for me. This forum is great. Thanks So Much!
