One thing to look for when posting images
After following the instructions at the beginning of this post you have to make sure of two things when inserting your image.
One, when you click the "Insert Image" button, a new window pops up that says "Please enter the URL of your image". Notice that it already has Http:// highlighted in the box, delete it before you paste your link in the box. If not, after [IMG] the start of your link will probably look like this http://http://, with http:// being listed twice. That will prevent it from being posted.
Two, pretty much a verification to number one, after you have inserted your image into the post, just make sure http:// isn't listed twice. If it is just delete one of them, and it should post just fine.
I don't see a way to post an image directly from a computer, there are two buttons, "Insert Link" and "Insert Image", when clicked on, both of them ask for a URL link.

To see that button or all buttons in Safari, you need to use full reply mode rather than quick reply.
But for img attachments I could never get things to work so...
When in Full reply mode rather than Quick reply, you don't need the missing button, simply scroll much further down the page and you should see a text box saying 'Manage Attachments', this will give you the options outlined.
This reply made with Safari.

All images I upload are stored on my PC. The only thing I do use OnLine storage for is large PDF's which exceed the forum upload size limit.

Try this from post #35.
Click the Paper clip jobbie in the tool bar to the right of the smiley face.
Click Browse in the window that opens.
Find the Pic on your computer.
Click Upload. Wait for it to upload.
Thats it.
When you hit Submit reply, you will now have a thumbnail pic.
But if you want a big pic in your post.
BEFORE you hit Submit Reply.
Right click on the IMGblahblah and left click Copy Image/link location.
Now Left click the Mountain/insert image icon in the top tool bar.
Use CTRL +V to paste your copied link.
Click OK.
Click Submit.
The pic below was inserted in less time than it took to type the instructions.

2. in the Reply to Thread menu, click on Attachments:
3. in the dialogue box, click on Browse button and navigate to the folder where you've put the pics:
4. click the Upload button - it may take a while depending on pic size and internet connection:
5. click on Attachments button again and the file you've uploaded is there:
6. click on the file to insert it into your post:
Repeat for further pics.

Four steps...Really?
Using a picture hosting site AND following four steps just to load a picture of my car on this forum? Really…please devise a simpler way to post pics. I don't have time for this albeit this is a GREAT site. I'm doing well taking pics with my iPhone and having them available on my Macbook and the Cloud. Thank you.
