Jaguar press office release!
The 2010 Jaguar XJ has just received it's first drive verdicts, and I thought you might be interested in checking them out and possibly running a piece on them. The Crave review is particularly interesting for gadget lovers.
Autocar (website). Steve Cropley's verdict: "Should I buy one? Hard to imagine why not. On first driving acquaintance, the XJ looks a triumph for Jaguar. Its siblings have been pleasing customers for several years. The XJ’s styling and magnificent interior provide a fine platform for driving characteristics so special that they may just take a British luxury car right back to the top of the market."http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/Jaguar-XJ/247801/
Evo (website). Harry Metcalfe gave us 4.5 stars. Verdict: "The new XJ still has all the wafting ability you’d expect from a Jaguar limo but it’s the XJ’s new-found agility that really impresses. This car has been set up to be as good to drive as it is to passenger in. We drove the V8 5.0 petrol version as Jaguar’s development team reckon this is the sweetest handling of the trio, as it’s also the lightest. With near perfect chassis balance, the handling is much more akin to something a lot smaller than the seventeen and a half foot limo a new XJL actually is. Ride comfort will prove contentious though, as while this is the best riding modern Jaguar, it’s a lot stiffer than Jaguar saloons of the past.http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarreviews/248776/new_jaguar_xj_road_test.html
Pistonheads (website). Chris Rosamund's verdict: "So all in all, Jaguar has delivered the car we dared to hope for, and the only surprise (perhaps) is that we'd probably pick the diesel over the normally aspirated V8. Will we feel the same about the supercharged Supersport? Possibly, but all I can say for sure is that we're looking forward to finding out."http://www.pistonheads.com/roadtests/doc.asp?c=99&i=21559
Autoexpress (website). 5 stars. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/carreviews/firstdrives/248779/jaguar_xj_driven.html
The Sun Ken Gibson: British businessmen MUST buy the XJ... it wins in every department"
Car mag (website).Gavin Green verdict: "A brilliant achievement. Great to drive and to sit in, here is a luxury saloon that mixes comfort and sportiness more successfully than ever before. And after living with one for a full day and night, I also think it looks fabulous."http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/Drives/Search-Results/First-drives/Jaguar-XJ-2010-CAR-review-/
What Car (website). Pete Tullin's verdict: 5 stars. "Unquestionably, you’ll be chilled and thrilled in equal measure every time you drive the XJ. Any XJ is guaranteed to lighten your mood whenever you climb aboard; which makes it the perfect way to enrich your motoring life." http://www.whatcar.com/car-news/jaguar-xj-driven/247804
CNET: We'd harboured fears that Jaguar would cut corners with the new XJ. It would have been all too easy for the company to butcher parts from its XK and XF models, or take the cookie cutter approach and follow the lead of rivals from BMW, Mercedes-Benz or Audi. Thankfully, it's done neither, and the XJ is a better car for it. It's gorgeous to look at, well put together and is right there at the cutting edge of technology. All things considered, we couldn't ask for much more. http://crave.cnet.co.uk/
You can find further assets on the car at http://uk.mediajaguar.com/ and we have some really great video of the car in action which I can send you if you email me back to let me know this is of interest.

Hey everyone... I actually drove the 2011 Jaguar XJ Supercharged last week at an unveiling here in Fife, Wa. That car is worth every cent!! 470 hp and the Dynamic Handling took my breath away. As well as the Sales Manager as it performed amazingly thru corners. The 1200 watt Bowers Wilkens stereo was crisp and clean even at volume 60. Technology could be compared. Thin Film Transistor Nav. screen was easy to use. Nav came up in the Virtual Insterment panel as you neared the next intersection or crossing. If you get a chance get your hands on one of these cars. They are due out in May due to some issues in the computers system.
