I believe that I have the downloads. Send me a PM with your off-forum address and I will send to you. They come in two parts that have to be burned to a cd. JTIS is set up to only be accessed from the cd drive. I never found a way around it. Also took some time to get the Vista OS to work and have no idea how the new MS 7 OS will handle it but that would also be true with a $10 cd off ebay.

Hi guys,
If you copy all the files off the installation disk/s to a folder on your hard drive, and then run the install/setup.exe from that folder, you dont need to use the cd eveytime you run the program. Works for me for the JTIS and the JEPC.

Hi test point
How did you get the JTIS installed on your PC with the Vista operating system on it? I sent SirJag a copy of the CD and he had a problem when he tried to run setup.exe in the DA035/Disk1 folder with Vista. Here is what he said in his email to me: nothing happened at the installation step… sort of just stopped doing what it was doing.
I know the copy of the CD is ok because I did a test install on my wife's PC that has XP home edition .

Please enlight us on the steps you had to take to get it installed on your Pc that has Vista.

Just clicked on setup and it installed on my Vista HP, but couldn't get it to work after opening it.

So after I dl'd it I should have burned a cd, was there an ISO in there?

Thought I saw a cd icon.

The dl was 470MB.

Default I found xp_fix.exe on another later JTIS CD I have

Hi SirJag & ant17
I found another JTIS CD that I bought about 6 months. I had misplaced and I just found it this afternoon. It has an xp_fix.exe file and I copied to my JTIS folder on one of my HDs. Here is the zipped xp_fix.exe file (I had to zip this file because the exe file format is not allowed as an attachment):
xp_fix.zip

Try running it, reboot PC and then do the install again.

I found these instruction on another website:
"TROUBLESHOOTING:
If problem should occur, cease JTIS installation, then install the "xp_fix.EXE" program that is included on The JTIS CD. Then repeat installation of the JTIS program."

Hi ant17
Is your vista a 32 bit or 64 bit operating system?

I found this article on the UK Jaguar forum.
"JTIS most definately will run on windows 7. I have version 1.3 running on my windows 7 desktop and laptop with no problems at all.
You need to run the installation file as administrator and it will work perfectly.
ie right click on the setup.exe file and select run as administrator.
All previous installs will need to be completely removed first. Hope this helps"

Hi ant17
I also found this article in the CNET forum on CNET.com:

ecanuck, If you're having this problem "16 bit windows subsystem" you could go to the link below and download "XP_Fix.EXE".
"This installaton program will reinstall the missing or corrupt Windows XP system files command.com, autoexec.nt and config.nt. The absence or corruption of one or more of these files causes a "16 Bit Subsystem" error.
We recommend that you download this file and save it to your desktop or to another location where you can find it. Double click on the file to run it once it's downloaded. If problem reoccurs in the future, simply re-run this program".

Here is the webpage link to CNET forum posting (see post #11):

Did you install the Microsoft DAO (database system, included on the JTIS CD)?
I use JTIS on Vista Home premium 32 bit and after the DAO installation JTIS worked!

Hi David
SirJag was able to get JTIS working properly early last night when he realized he was getting a DAO error. Then he ran the DA0 setup.exe (again) and that fixed it. SirJag has Vista 32 bit on his PC.
