Default 1961 Mark IX Air Conditioning

Hi! I'm in desperate need of advice on adding an ac system to my Mark IX. Please help! I'm trying to get opinions/options for my restorer. The car is in the shop as we speak...

Thank you,

Jim

Air con was never an option on these cars, but some after-market systems were fitted, and I believe the evaporator was installed in the trunk, with cooled air outlet to the back shelf. Anything you do install will need at least some custom piping. You also have to arrange for a belt drive for the compressor. Not an easy job, but probably do-able if a bit costly.

Here's a US supplier: -

Jaguar Mark VII-VIII-IX Air Conditioning Upgrade Kits

Not cheap !!
