Default 1963 Mk 10 transmission fluid

Hi
I've just joined and this is my first post.
Bought a ‘63 Mk10 in the summer and have been trying to get on top of the jobs that need doing to it.
Just wondered, what’s the recommended way to check the ATF level and, also, what ATF would members recommend for it?
Lastly, what’s the recommended procedure for draining and renewing the fluid please.
Cheers
Chris

Don't own a Mark X but I presume it has the BW model 8 gearbox. Check fluid level just after shutting down engine. Drain fluid out of the pan, and replace with as much fluid as you have drained. Use Castrol Transmax F

That’s great!! Thanks very much for that. I’ll get some ATF ordered and get cracking!
Thanks again
Cheers
