It's certainly impressive.

Not my cup of tea though.

Ha ... that comment could be taken a couple different ways.

Really not mine either, but I thought it was done well enough to put it out for everyone's perusal, maybe liven up the board a little.
Now, I think I could live with the interior ....!!!!
Translator wouldn't like it though, he's a goatskin kinda guy!

There's a joke calling out to me there, but I'm going to resist.

You all know that I like any Classic Car restoration, but in this instance, the crinkly brown vinyl just isn't for me.

I'd stick to the 'Grow your Own Interior' plan.

Oddly enough, I had a friend who did just this for his 3 piece living room set.

Snag is, he named the individuals, so it was kind of weird to know who you were sitting on.

And he couldn't understand why his BBQs were never that popular.

Did someone mention tea??

Translator, the dude is a high-end shoe designer, so I'd guess the "crinkly brown vinyl" is probably aardvark skin, dinosaur skin or something else made of unobtanium.

Well gee, I've always made it a point to know who I'm sitting on. After all, it's the polite thing to do. She might want to cuddle later.

That explains it. When I was in the Fluevog shop last year buying shoes I saw a belt buckle that looked like a stylized MK10 or 420G - guess it was this car!

As far as custom cars go it's done ok; I would cetainly not consider it improved, it's just been done to someone else's taste - I will leave it at that.

Well I, the great nobody likes it. Shoes and all. I'm not a LowRider nut by a long shot, but how many 90 point cars have we all seen already? If I were King, I'd 'restore' all sorts of oddball cars.

Gee! I hope the exclusive shoe factory doesn't collapse and kill a thousand sweatshop workers.

A lot of his shoes are made in Canada. On the soles some have the outline of the car, so you can leave Jaguar footprints!

I've seen the car up close, and the workmanship is very impressive.

I was commenting on the Spammer peddling exclusive shoes made in India. Thankfully, the post was yanked. Sorry for the confusion, if any.

Yes, I saw your post on removing the VVT on xj8 jag. I would like to know what tools and parts I need to perform this procedure.

Thanks,

David
