Well I just thought Id have a look and see when I did last my update and was pleasantly surprised to see a dedicated section with 420G in the title .... GREAT

These cars do get forgotten with the launch in the same year as the E-Type which also I am pasionate about

Anyway back to the update - Julys will be here very soon

July Update

Guys I know its late but theres been shows and Im trying to launch a new company so been juggling a lot of *****...

Anyway here goes:

The first week-end I was going to start the car and tune the carbs was not a good one the car wouldnt start with a new battery on after stripping one off the carbs and checking the starter motor it still didnt start with it all back together we did get it started but by connecting a wire from the starter motor to the battery direct. When started it did throw out some black smoke

Just at that moment a neighbour arrived home to advise me they had had there windows cleaned last week

Anyway some pics:

Even though we got the going after a lot of wasted time we found out the reason it wouldn't start was the inhibitor switch wire to the relay had been knocked off when I had put the dashboard wing back on.

I found there was little info on the tinternet re this switch so I hope these images help someone. For more info go to my project thread at:

Looking forward to it Clive.

Maybe a little video would be in order now she's running?
You can just ignore that if you want.
