MK V Restoration

Welcome back craig. The Daimler is most definitely part of the jaguar stable. In jaguar world couple of months ago was a pick of sir william with the entire jaguar model range about 1962 and in it was daimler majestics and conquests also daimler buses. The pic was available to buy from jag heritage. So endorsement from the man himself. That colour combo is perfection. The lighter green you are going for is most likely willow green. That two tone combination of brg and willow was a factory option on mk10 and 420g's. Check out my willow green 420g and the 420g restoration on here that has the exact two tone combination. Again welcome back old chap.

Both projects look great. My MK V Jaguar stretch limo is now finished. XJ6 front & rear suspension & a Holden (Buick) 3.8 V6 & 4 speed auto. There is a MK 7 Jaguar in Western Australia that has been shortened plus made into a 2 door coupe, also with XJ6 suspension. I cant work out how to up load a photo of it or my car.

An interesting project, Cybersib. I am going in the totally opposite direction, restoring a Mark V chassis number 627933 to exact factory specification. I imagine it won't matter to you now, but the Mark V was originally a 12 volt positive ground system.
We like to keep a record of every surviving Mark V regardless of condition, so can you give me the chassis number of your car?

Hi All
Rirst time on here, I had to add my bit on the Mk V project, absolutely awsome concept. I did a similar job on a Mk v about 8 tears ago with a 420 G as the donner car and a series 2 motor, BW 66 box. Has been on the road for about 7 years and 60000 miles and has only now in need or some serious maintenance on the brakes. I didn't move the cab back but rather pushed the firewall back 6" and the seats accordingly - not a lot of rear foot room but enough. so definately do-able and definately wakes a Mk v up.
final resting place for motor
on the road complete with period trunks strapped in/on
