Question Problem with Mark 10 petrol system

Hello,
My father owns a 1964 Jaguar MK10 since 1972. It was his everyday car at this time !
He kept the car but didn't use it for years. Last year he decided to restore it. After one year of work the car is on the road again ! It has a new engine, drive smoothly, a real pleasure !
There are still many details to fix. One of them is a problem with the petrol system.
There are two tanks as you all know. The fuel pumps are new.
When he selects the left tank the car finally stop (the tank is full !).
The auto mechanic who restored the car didn't find the solution.
Would you have an idea ? What kind of controls can we do ?
Where can i find a diagram of the petrol system ?
Is it possible that something is blocking a pipe ? How can we check that ?
Thank you very much for your help !

It has dual tanks and pumps. Check each pump for power. Check changeover valve for functioning and check switch on dash.

Thank you Jagfixer for this quick answer.
The switch on dash activates the correct pump (left or right). The pumps have been checked by an electrician so i think the power is ok (i will check again with my father).
Could you please precise where the changeover valve is in the car ?
Thanks again

Usually in boot (trunk) under spare or behind liner near pumps.

Changeover valve is behind rear seat bulkhead slightly to the right of centre behind trim in boot/trunk.
