Jaguar's top of the line vehicle in 1994, this rare low mileage XJ-12 has less than 93000 miles and is in excellent condition, showing expected wear and patina for its age.

This is the only year that Jaguar offered the V12 in the XJ40 body style, so it is somewhat rare in the US.

Leather shows expected creases, armrest wear, wood intact but has cracks, and the exterior clearcoat exhibits some haziness/ghosting in spots but is not peeling except for a very tiny area around the radio antenna grommet.

The XJ-12 runs and drives, and all options work except the air conditioning which currently only holds a charge for a few days/weeks, but otherwise operates well and blows frigid once charged. Although not certain, we suspect the A/C system needs new o-rings.

The driver side rear retractable sun-screen/shade has pulled out of the metal bar/clip, but the shade and mechanism are fully intact and operational. So someone just needs to glue the shade material back into the bar/clip. I may try to do that in the coming weeks myself, or it's just a minor project for the next owner.

The lumbar function in the front seats hums when the button is depressed, but I'm not convinced it is actually inflating the bladder anymore.

There may be other minor functions that aren't working that are expected and I'm unaware of for a car of this age, but those are the only issues I know of.

The car is all original except for an aftermarket AM/FM/CD Pioneer radio that is fully functional, and the problematic high-pressure hydraulic auto leveling rear suspension was already converted to the Jaguar conventional spring configuration so that saves a new owner the headache of doing so. I have the original CD changer and mounting hardware, but I do not know its operational status. I do not have the original radio.

Given its age, I have no accident history, but it is apparent that it had a minor fender-bender around the passenger side rear quarter/door at some point that has been repaired and is not readily noticeable to the average observer. One can tell the accident occurred by the slight misalignment of the bump strip when it was reattached years ago, and a tiny (~inch) crease that is still evident in the rear passenger door jamb. I'll try to get a photo of that and add it to the listing.

As far as I can tell there is no significant rust anywhere in the body, especially in the typical locations.

I have an extensive set of maintenance documentation from previous owners.

The drivers door seal has an approximate 12" tear along the bottom, but it does not appear to leak air or water. However I have a new door seal that the new owner can install.

A new ABS accumulator and battery have been fitted in the last year.

I've only owned the car for about 18 months, and am selling due to too many projects and need to reduce the inventory. This XJ-12 is a perfect starting point for an easy restoration or just maintain and drive as-is for weekend parading and shows.

It's a really beautiful car when in the sunlight. It always gets a lot of attention, waves and positive comments when driven around town as you just don't see nice examples of these Jaguars on the road anymore.
